Anmerkungen: Alocasia X amazonica ist eine Hybride aus den 50ger Jahren des 20 Jahrhunderts, gezüchtet von S. Mauro und benannt nach dem Namen seiner Gärtnerei. Bei der Vermehrung waren Pflanzen dabei, die einen mehrfachen Chromosomensatz aufgewiesen haben (Polyploidie). So wurde im Handel ganz schnell aus Poly (für Polyploidie) der Kultivar 'Polly'.
