The Vanilla Twist Weeping Redbud typically grows to a height of 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 meters) with a spread of 8 to 10 feet (2.4 to 3 meters). It has a weeping, cascading form, with branches that twist and turn, creating an elegant and graceful appearance.

In early spring, before the leaves emerge, the Vanilla Twist Weeping Redbud produces clusters of small, pink to lavender flowers along its weeping branches. These flowers cover the tree and provide a stunning display. The foliage that follows is heart-shaped and emerges as a vibrant green color, turning yellow in the fall.

This cultivar thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil. It is relatively low-maintenance and can tolerate a range of soil conditions. Regular watering is important, especially during dry periods, to help the tree establish and maintain its health.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  Canker can be a significant disease problem. Various diseases and pests and be prevented with regular watering and pruning of dead branches. Does not transplant well, plant when young and leave undisturbed.
