2017 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the beloved classic From the Mixed-up files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Claudia knew that she could never pull off the old-fashioned kind of running away....She didn't like discomfort....Therefore, she decided that her leaving home would not be just running from somewhere but would be running to somewhere. To a large place, a comfortable place, an indoor place, and preferably a beautiful place. And that's why she decided upon the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.-- from From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler When Claudia decided to run away, she planned very carefully. She would be gone just long enough to teach her parents a lesson in Claudia appreciation. And she would go in comfort -- she would live at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She saved her money, and she invited her brother Jamie to go, mostly because he was a miser and would have money. Claudia was a good organizer and Jamie had some ideas too; so the two took up residence at the museum right on schedule. But once the fun of settling in was over, Claudia had two unexpected problems: She felt just the same and she wanted to feel different; and she found a statue at the Museum so beautiful she could not go home until she discovered its maker, a question that baffled the experts, too. The former owner of the statue was Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Without her -- well, without her, Claudia might never have found a way to go home. For many years E. L. Konigsburg's story has entranced readers of all ages. This special anniversary edition contains a new afterword from the author, along with a few extra surprises to delight readers old and new.

No ChatGPT free download
Format: Paperback
This is a great resource for learning things about your Airbnb listing and how to maximize your success, BUT if you are purchasing this book because you read in the Intro, "Elevate your hosting game with Chatgpt", please know the "free download" link/website shared does NOT exist/no longer works. I do wish I had realized that before purchasing.

game changer!
Format: Kindle
Game changer for AirBnB hosting. I've though about this avenue, but there seemed to be so many hurdles, like figuring out the right pricing and making my place stand out. This book was is an excellent guide through it all, with practical tips on everything from interior decor to managing reviews. It will make a real difference in how I will run my Airbnb – less stress, more rave reviews, and hopefully better profits too!

I really liked this book. It answered all my questions about becoming a (successful) host.
Format: Kindle
It answered all my questions about becoming a (successful) host. It's really an instruction manual. I'm a novice and found it easy to understand. It explains how to find a property and the business side of being a host but also how to create a great experience for guests.

Ambitious universe building that starts small
Format: Kindle
Defiance of the Fall is in the Top 5 of my favorite progression fantasy stories (for reference, I think you should at least try the first book of all 5 series with the other 4 series being Primal Hunter, He Who Fights with Monsters, Azarinth Healer, and The Calamitous Bob). The scale of this series world-building is beyond any other series that comes to mind. And the crazy thing is that 16 books in, there's still a TON of room to keep building. I'm hoping the author can keep the series at this quality out to at least 30 books.
The series starts out slightly slower-paced, but 16 books in I think that was a good thing as it really sets up the main character and enables a slow build up of their new existence. You learn as the MC does, and at the beginning the MC is still struggling with the basics. But as the main character progresses, that 'world' gets more and more complex and grows vastly in scope (there's a whole giant universe out there), with that complexity being the main challenge of the series. When there is 16 books worth of progress, remembering all the details can get a bit challenging. Book 16 books in, I'm still eagerly reading every book that comes out.
All in all, I highly recommend this series and all of the others in my Top 5 list. If I had to round that out to a Top 10, other series I would recommend would be Paths of Akashic, Dual-Class, Grand Game, Unintended Cultivator, and A Thousand Li. None of those latter 5 are a strong as the top 5, but all are worth reading IMO.
