CAST IRON SIGNAL WIRE ADJUSTER HANDLE EX NORTON FITZWARREN BOXThis cast iron Great Western Railway signal wire adjuster was used by the signalman when the wire between the signal lever and the signal required adjustment due to contraction or expansion. If not regular adjusted the signal would not display the correct OFF on ON indications to the driver. This example was for use on the later adjuster stands with a hexagonal fitting. Recovered from Norton Fitzwarren signal box by the signalman upon closure.
