Nine years since the last full length from The Velvet Teen and the band has written what could arguably be their best record yet. From it's gorgeous, swirling electronics to it's harder, angular, '90s-leaning flourishes of grunge, indie and emo, All Is Illusory is a welcome return for a band whose varied influences are still very much intact after its short silence. The album was mixed by Steve Choi of the RX Bandits and exemplifies the band's use of driving guitars, exceptionally technical drumming and lyrics by Judah Nagler that will make the listener question reality. All Is Illusory, the band’s fourth album, is the long-awaited and elegant follow-up to 2006's Cum Laude.

Be Cooler About The Packaging and Instructions.

This packaging is TERRIBLE.
The "instructions" are TERRIBLE. They were just a single sheet with minimal info, SHOVED into the box randomly. Could've folded it flat and slid it in there. Both times I ordered this, I had this exact same experience.
Good thing I've put together tons of furniture and toys over the years.
I'm sure older people would have a hard time with assembling this.
At least it's light to move around without trouble, and blocks SOME light. Does not block the flood lights outside my building, which shine into my living room, but oh well.

Not the best

The panels are pretty transparent anytime there’s light that can shine through. They don’t stay on well either. There are large gaps between the panels so I had to hang blankets to really create privacy.
The whole thing feels pretty cheaply made but at least it’s light and was easy to put together.
