One of the most engaging, if tragic, figures in rock 'n' roll history, Gene Vincent personified the wild and lusty side of the music. He recorded some of the most exciting songs of the late '50s and early '60s. This release includes Vincent's last album on Capitol Records, THE CRAZY BEAT OF GENE VINCENT, which was recorded in 1958-1961 and has been long unavailable on any format. It is probably Gene's most obscure LP from his recording stage for Capitol, but also one of his finest. The album includes great moments such as 'Crazy Beat', 'High Blood Pressure', and 'Good Lovin', among other highlights. This collector's edition also includes 10 bonus tracks, most of which are hard to find sides from the same period.
