With sixty-five years serving up great guitars, we're more than psyched to welcome the Taylor Guitars Russo Music 65th Anniversary Custom Grand Auditorium. This Custom Grand Auditorium, assembled with care and precision by Taylor luthiers, comes together with unique woods and features for a one-of-a-kind Grand Auditorium to celebrate our sixty-fifth anniversary as a company as well as the essence of Taylor's classic body style.

Our sixty-fifth anniversary Custom Grand Auditorium seeks to capture what makes the Grand Auditorium such a beloved style across so many years. This, combined with a unique assembly of materials, sets out to balance fresh and familiar. The Custom Grand Auditorium begins with a body made of Honduran rosewood and striped western red cedar. Its Honduran rosewood back and sides begins the experience as the sonic base off which the rest of the musical palette blooms.

Western red cedar, known for its touch sensitivity and warmth, makes it a prime candidate for fingerpicking and light strumming alongside a Taylor Guitars V-Class Bracing pattern. Imparting balance and enhancing projection, this V-Class pattern, assembling with Sitka spruce braces, makes for a great addition to this model. This projection is paired greatly with the guitar's Venetian cutaway that offers higher fret access for an incredibly comfortable feel. Taylor's Aged Toner stain appears across this red cedar to present some welcomed age aesthetically. What's more, the back features a four-piece Simons Wedge design that shapes the geometric look of the wood.

Familiarity continues on in this model with a classic Taylor mahogany neck in a Taylor Standard Carve profile. Playability, as driven by the combination of this profile and the model's special ebony fingerboard, is paramount. This Grand Auditorium's ebony fingerboard is highly variegated, exhibiting a great variety of colors, adding to the overall visual sum of the instrument. A satin finish wraps the guitar's neck for a silky touch in the fretting hand while Mother of Pearl small diamond fret inlays punctuate the multicolored ebony.

Smaller aesthetic and structural elements that bring this Grand Auditorium a level up once again appear across the entire model. A bone nut and micarta saddle ground strings at each end of the Taylor Standard 25.5" scale length for stability and fluidity when stringing and playing. Speaking of stability in stringing, Gotoh 510 Antique Gold tuning machines line the headstock for another great element. Onboard, L.R. Baggs Element VTC electronics bring the sweet sounds of this acoustic to the stage for that classic acoustic-electric experience. Sharp-eyed players might notice one of the finishing touches – a rosewood truss rod cover with "Est. 1960" printed in it, denoting Russo Music's first year. This commemorative model travels with a Taylor Guitars brown hardshell case.

You end up seeing a lot of Taylors over sixty-five years, it turns out. Thankfully, you never see a Taylor quite like this.

No.
Color: Coal Black, Color: Coal Black
This was horribly made and a nightmare to put together. You have to basically bend the bars to get the coverings attached. The sizes don't match. The stickers that label the parts are impossible to remove and if you do get them off theres a lot of residue left behind. On top of that once it was put together I noticed theres a big dirty foot print on it which is definitely not mine.

You have to add weight to it
Color: Coal Black
It does its job and it was easy to put together but it's a little on the flimsy side and it will easily be knocked down. So you're going to have to figure out a way to make the legs heavier? I used cinder blocks, single cinder blocks and it works just fine. Just know that it will knock over super easy
