Built around the analog circuit topology of the legendary 6G15 reverb unit, this pedal replaces vacuum tubes with carefully tuned JFET transistors—retaining the authentic tonal response while improving reliability and portability. This is not a digital emulator; the SurfyBear V3.0 delivers genuine spring reverb through its exclusive SurfyPan Extra, developed in collaboration with Accutronics to closely match the tonal characteristics of early 1960s Gibbs units.
The unit is housed in a brown tolex-covered wooden enclosure, featuring sturdy embossed metal sides and a steel shielding bottom plate to minimize noise interference. With no true bypass, the pedal intentionally colors the tone in the same way as the original standalone reverb units—part of what defines its unique voice. Designed for performance flexibility, it includes dual mixer control via the SurfyDrip switch connection and an external footswitch jack for remote control (footswitch not included).
