Additional Intake Port: More Cold Air Volume
The key design change in the V2 airbox is the additional intake port. On a naturally aspirated engine, total airflow volume is the primary limiting factor at peak output. Cold air enters the intake passively rather than being forced by a turbocharger, which means the size of the opening matters more than on a forced-induction setup. MST's added port increases the area through which cold air can enter the sealed airbox, delivering a larger volume of denser, cooler air to the throttle body at high RPM.
